The airline had been using a command line based software suite to manage aircraft maintenance planning. How could we update the tools and processes for all of the various user groups to improve overall efficiency and user experience with minimal disruption?
In person interviews, shadowing, and training with multiple user types to understand what they did on a day to day basis and how their current tools helped/hindered their job. From this we narrowed focus down to a MVP that could prove to the business that the larger program (a multi-year build) was possible and worthwhile. An iterative cycle of requirements gathering, workshopping, wireframing, and reviewing with users and stakeholders led to designs that were built out as the MVP.
